Jason is the editor of Community Health Magazine, and has been with the company since November 2016. Jason is a veteran of the publication industry who prior to joining CHM worked in both newspapers and magazines. He is an award-winning news reporter, commentary writer, photographer and editor.
Lauren is a magazine editor and writer from Chicago who has experience in both print and digital journalism. She recently graduated from the University of Missouri’s journalism school, at which she worked as an editor at Vox magazine and reporter for the Columbia Missourian newspaper.
Dr. Janis Mendelsohn
Dr. Mendelsohn has been an attending pediatrician at the University of Chicago since 1972, and sees patients on a daily basis. She is presently the medical director of the General Pediatrics group at the University of Chicago. Mendelsohn is board certified in pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Frederick H. Lowe
Frederick has worked more than 40 years in the news business, writing and reporting for newspapers like the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times and the Philadelphia Daily News, as well as for several trade publications in Chicago. He’s also the founder of The NorthStar News & Analysis, an online newspaper. He has been nominated for three Pulitzers and won several national and local reporting awards.
Steve has 33 years of experience working as a reporter and editor in the newspaper industry. In addition to writing and editing for Community Health, Metsch also serves as a freelance writer contributing to the Illinois News Network, the Urban Strategies Group and the Desplaines Valley News. He’s highly skilled in uncovering interesting stories, writing about detailed topics, and covering breaking news and human interest stories.
Joe has 24 years experience in publishing, newspapers, magazines, printing and graphic design. He has been employed at Crain’s Chicago Business, 22nd Century Media and many Fortune 500 companies throughout Chicago as a Graphic Designer, Editorial Designer, Creative Manager and Art Director.
Geoff was previously an international real estate consultant, where he utilized his law school degree to be a liaison and negotiate deals between developers and Caribbean governments. Prior to that, he spent almost 20 years coaching college basketball at Miami, Cincinnati, St Louis and Southern Illinois.
Jeff is a Pittsburgh resident with a diverse background in sales and marketing over the past forty years throughout the Eastern United States. Jeff is the Regional Sales Representative for Community Health Magazine handling print and digital sales in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.
Managing Director / Publisher
Mark is a founding shareholder and managing director of Community Magazine Group. He has a 35 year career in newspapers, television, radio, magazines and digital publishing that includes newsroom and business leadership roles at United Press International, Crain’s Chicago Business, the Chicago Sun-Times, Midwest Suburban Publishing Co. and Community Media Group.
Chief Operating Officer
Zach has more than 20 years of experience leading sales, creative and technical teams. Successfully implementing new product lines and internal processes focused on improving the end user experience and client profitability for organizations of all sizes and industries. He is passionate about helping others achieve a culture of wellness in the workplace and is also a member of the Society of Human Resource Managers.
Tyler has more than 20 years of creative design experience helping media companies and organizations across all industries improve their brand awareness and messaging through print, web design and video production. Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to identify areas of opportunity he has successfully implemented process improvement systems for design and content fulfillment.
Digital Content Director
Chuck is the Digital Content Director for Community Media Group. He is also the Managing Editor at the Finger Lakes Times daily newspaper in Geneva, N.Y., where he began his journalism career as a copy editor in 1999. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the State University of New York at Brockport.
